The Set the PACE 5K is a fundraiser that supports the PACE Southeast Michigan Community Giving Fund. This fund keeps frail, low-income seniors living with dignity in their own homes and communities while providing them with enriching and engaging opportunities.
While the 5K name of Set the PACE is a fun play on words with PACE Southeast Michigan, we also take great concern for how older adults are being cared for in our communities. We see setting the PACE as setting the bar for what it means for seniors to live safely, comfortably, and with dignity in their own homes. By participating in the PACE Southeast Michigan Set the PACE 5K, YOU can help set up our Community Giving Fund for success, to ensure our participants get everything they need to stay safe in their homes.
PACE Southeast Michigan is a Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), a capitated managed health plan funded by Medicare and Medicaid. PACE Southeast Michigan is a unique healthcare company because it is the health plan and the comprehensive care provider. PACE Southeast Michigan’s mission is to keep aging, low-income, nursing-home eligible adults with multiple chronic illnesses independent in their own homes by caring for their medical, physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs.
